Mansfield House

The centerpiece of Jewett Street, Ansonia is this charming 18th century saltbox. Today, it looks just as it did in 1747 when eight Episcopalian families purchased it. Here, Rev. Mansfield completed the longest Episcopalian pastorate in our country's history, seventy-two years, encompassing the colonial, revolutionary and federal periods. The house is now privately owned.
