Historic Tours

Coming in October 2006: Legends by Lantern at the Derby Greenway!

Frequently we are asked about historic walks and driving tours- we have conducted many of them over the years in Ansonia and Derby. The Historical Society is now making our past walks or tours available for private groups. Custom walks can also be arranged, and we will continue to feature public walks as well. These make great fund-raisers!

We now offer the following walking tours:

• Downtown Ansonia - 1955

• Downtown Derby (Lower Main - Derby Green - Caroline Street areas)

• Oak Cliff Cemetery

• Pine Grove Cemetery

• Uptown and Elm Street Cemeteries

• Valley Heritage Driving Tour

Cost is $200 for a minimum 2 hour long tour, + $50 for every half hour above 2 1/2 hours. Tours are only conducted in the daytime, and depend upon availability of Historical Society staff. We ask for a minimum 2 week notification. Cemetery tours are contingent upon permission from the respective cemetery associations. Driving tours must provide transportation.
